Children's Residential Care Worker

Children's Residential Care Worker – Dove Cottage, Sandy

Department: Residential

Location: Dove Cottage – Sandy

Compensation: £34,402 – £35,025 per year

Baseline rate of £13.45 – £13.75 per hour (depending on qualifications), increasing with 8 sleep nights/month.

The Role

Join Esland, an organisation committed to transforming children's lives through specialist residential care.

We are looking for compassionate, supportive individuals to provide trauma-informed therapeutic care in our 3-bedroom children’s home, Dove Cottage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nurturing, therapeutic residential care to children aged 8-18 experiencing complex issues
  • Engage in recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to the child’s needs
  • Contribute to shift pattern planning and duty cover as required
  • Support young people in buildings skills, confidence, and emotional resiliency
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver continued positive change
  • Utilise insights from training to improve care standards and outcomes

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Over 21 years of age

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Committed to adhering to safeguarding policies and Safer Recruitment Practices (British parenting law)

  • Eligibility for Full Enhanced DBS disclosure (checked at no cost to you)

  • Unfortunately, we are not able to offer sponsorship.

  • Successful applicants will undergo:

    • Satisfactory DBS check
    • Reference checks
    • Within government regulations
