Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time Location: Kingfisher – Westoning Compensation: £34,402 – £35,025 / year
Hours:
173 hours per month, including long shifts (8am–11pm), plus sleep nights (rotas provided in advance). 365 days per year service operation due to work requirements.
Pay & Opportunities:
- Base salary: £34,402–£35,025 per annum (equivalent to £13.45–£13.75/hour, including ~8 sleep nights per month)
- Enhanced pay for extra shifts and overtime

Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality therapeutic care in a three-bedroom residential setting, focusing on crisis intervention and trauma-informed support.
- Supporting young people in achieving their full potential, creating structured routines and meaningful activities (e.g. cinema, swimming, sports, family outings, or new hobbies).
- Building trust and confidence to empower children facing difficult life circumstances.
- Ensuring compliance with national safeguarding guidelines and safeguarding practices.

Requirements
Essential:
- Full valid UK driving licence (important for travel/transport as part of rosters).
- Must be at least 21 years of age (due to Safer Recruitment & Care Act regulations).
- Demonstrated ability in nurturing and care or prior experience in respite care, family support, or therapeutic roles.

Additional Qualification:
- Preference for Level 2+ qualifications in Childcare, Healthcare, or equivalent (though experience may also qualify for initial salary increases).
