Children's Residential Care Worker
Children’s Residential Care Worker – Permanent Full-Time Role
Department: Residential Location: Chestnut Rise, Plumstead Hours: 173 hours per month (long shifts: 8am–11pm, including sleep nights) Service: 365-day per year (due to operational demands)
Compensation:
- £37,205 – £37,828 per year (pay scale £14.80–£15.10/hour, depending on qualifications, plus average of 8 sleep nights/month).
- Overtime/extra shifts optional at an enhanced rate.

The Home: Chestnut Rise
A three-bedroom residential children’s home offering high-quality specialised care through:
- Trauma-informed therapeutic approaches
- Crisis intervention
- Recreational activities tailored to the child, including cinema, swimming, and sports
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Provide nurturing, supportive, and professional care in a residential setting
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team (social workers, psychologists, etc.) to support young people
- Adhere to BILD-accredited care standards
- Use a company app for:

Essential Requirements & Qualifications
- Over 21 years old
- Full UK Driving Licence (mandatory for the role)
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is unavailable)
