Hours & Pay Various shift patterns, dependent on requirements £33,000 - £35,000 per year

This is an excellent opportunity to join as a Deputy Manager at a government-rated "Good" children’s home in Stoke on Trent. The home collaborates effectively with external agencies, including local authorities.

Key Responsibilities
As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support and represent the Registered Manager when unavailable
- Ensure the home meets Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the home
- Provide direct supervision to team leaders and support workers
- Facilitate staff development and support for young people in placement
Regulatory & Operational Duties
- Update placement plans and risk assessments promptly
- Implement plans following Ofsted inspections and ensure home complies with:
- Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Quality Care Standards
- Ensure a safe, inclusive environment for children, addressing essential needs:
- Education and attendance
- Medical conditions and treatments
- Religious, cultural, and dietary requirements
Partnership & Support Work
- Collaborate with local authorities, schools, and families
- Commit to the welfare and growth of young people within the home
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Minimum Experience & Knowledge
- At least two years of experience in residential childcare settings
- Must hold a Level 3 Qualification in Children's Residential Care
- Strong understanding of:
- Quality Care Standards
- SCCIF criteria
- Childcare legislation and regulatory standards

Essential Qualification
- Full UK manual car driving licence required
