Childrens Residential Support Worker

Children’s Residential Support Worker – Penrith & Surrounding Areas

About Wilderness Way

Whether you bring years of experience or are new to the field, this role gives you the chance to:

  • Bring structure, support, and joy to vulnerable children.
  • Work in a small, close-knit team (6 staff + managerial and multi-disciplinary support).
  • Drive change—one child at a time.

Your Day-to-Day Duties

Expect nothing boring here! Your work will include:

  • Providing emotional support and mentorship in a child-centred environment.
  • Engaging children in creative, physical, and educational activities—from gardening and sports to music and hands-on crafts.
  • Assisting with kitchen duties, personal care, and daily routine support.
  • Working outdoors too—outdoor education will be a key part of your role.
