Children's Residential Support Worker

Department: Residential Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: The Beeches, Gainsborough Reporting To: Home Manager

Compensation: £32,242 - £32,865 per year

Key Details:

  • Pay: £32,242.00 - £32,865 per annum (based on 6 sleeps per month and an hourly rate of £13.45 - £13.75/hour)
  • Hours: 173/hour (rotas provided)
  • Shift pattern: Typically 2 days on, 4 days off with sleep-ins (shifts may vary)
  • Our services run 365 days a year, as children need us every day

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Provide high-quality, personalised care and emotional support to children, creating a safe and nurturing environment
  • Tailor daily routines and activities to meet each child’s individual interests and needs
  • Lead fun, engaging activities such as:
    • Arts and crafts
    • Football matches and board games
    • Movie nights and shopping trips
    • Nature walks
  • Act as a positive role model that helps the children achieve long-term positive outcomes
  • Support staff teamwork and deliver a structured yet flexible 24-hour service

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must fulfil these essential criteria:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Currently over 21 years old (due to industry regulations)
