About the Role
Provide compassionate support to children with autism, promoting their participation in daily activities and learning. Assist with implementing individual support plans, and encourage positive behaviour and social interaction. Work collaboratively with the team to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. Monitor and report on progress, maintaining clear and accurate records.

Responsibilities
- Support children with autism in a child-centred way
- Assist with individual support plans (ISPs) for each child
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction
- Collaborate to maintain a safe, inclusive, and routine-based environment
- Monitor and report on childrens’ progress while keeping detailed records
- Assist with daily activities, ensuring inclusion and engagement
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs
- Knowledge and understanding of Ofsted guidelines
- Compassionate and patient approach when supporting children with autism
- Ability to promote positive behaviour and encourage social interaction
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written), usable with children, families, and team members
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills, especially for maintaining records and activities
- Willingness to learn and engage actively as part of a multidisciplinary team
