Team Leader - FLT Intake (Backshift)

Albert Bartlett is looking for an experienced FLT Intake Team Leader to join our busy Chilled operation in Airdrie. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader with forklift truck experience to take ownership of the Intake function, ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials into production while leading and developing a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support the Intake FLT team
  • Ensure all raw materials and packaging are received and processed efficiently
  • Coordinate stock movements to support production requirements
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and guidance
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, quality and housekeeping
  • Carry out daily operational checks and ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures
  • Support stock accuracy and inventory control processes
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues within the Intake area
  • Work closely with Production, Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

  • Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience within a manufacturing, warehouse or food production environment
  • Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience managing stock movements and material supply
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and food manufacturing standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
