Choir Director
The Contemporary Chorus Ltd is seeking a dynamic and talented Choir Director to lead our vibrant choir. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pop music and a strong background in music education, vocal coaching, or choir direction.
About the Role
This role involves leading 30 rehearsals year-round, delivering the required repertoire, following the established rehearsal structure, interfacing with our members, and building a cohesive and supportive community within the choir. This position is to run up to two choirs per week in North and East Liverpool.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead rehearsals, ensuring each session is engaging, productive, and aligned with the choir’s objectives.
- Deliver the required repertoire with attention to detail and artistic expression.
- Follow the established rehearsal structure to ensure consistency and progression.
- Interface professionally and positively with choir members, creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Build and maintain a coherent and connected community within the choir, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support among members.

Essential Skills
- Confident singer with a strong vocal ability.
- Proficiency on the piano, sufficient to support choir rehearsals (reading vocal parts, accompanying with chords)
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Background in music education, vocal coaching, or choir direction.
- Passionate about pop music and knowledgeable about contemporary genres.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate choir members.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
