Company Description

At GK Engineering Limited, we specialize in tailored Instrumentation & Control solutions that turn complex industrial challenges into streamlined, efficient systems. We support clients from initial concept through detailed design and site support across sectors such as oil and gas, power generation, and wastewater treatment. Our mission is to deliver cutting-edge designs that enhance operational excellence, safety, and sustainability. Guided by precision, integrity, sustainability, and collaboration, we focus on accurate, reliable, and scalable systems that meet demanding industrial requirements. Our vision is to be a trusted global leader in intelligent Instrumentation & Control design, setting high standards in quality and client satisfaction.

Role Description

The C&I CAD Designer will create and modify detailed Instrumentation & Control drawings and documentation for industrial projects, ensuring designs meet technical standards and client specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include producing P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, panel layouts, hookup drawings, cable schedules, and instrument schedules, as well as maintaining drawing records and revision control.

The role involves collaborating closely with engineers and project managers, coordinating with site teams, and supporting design queries throughout the project lifecycle. The C&I CAD Designer will also assist in reviewing design inputs, applying industry codes and standards, and preparing documentation for installation and commissioning. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coventry and the candidate must be flexible to be based at client’s location for long term.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
