Based in Lifton, Devon, PL16 0BBSalary up to £65,000 per annum Permanent, 37.5 hours per week 

Ambrosia is not your typical food business; in our 100+ years of manufacturing the nations favourites, we have evolved into a highly automated and technologically advanced site.    We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at Lifton to develop and lead the implementation of the site CI strategy, identifying improvements in all areas of Operations effectiveness.

What you will be doing:

Develop and implement a Continuous Improvement Road Map in line with the site operational plans. Develop process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows to ensure continuous and reliable performance and outputs ensuring customer demand can be met.  Lead and facilitate LEAN/process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions to inform executable plans. Build relationships and influence site operational teams to deliver on site CI initiatives. Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls and delivering site CI Cost saving targets. Setting the agenda for and manage Continuous Improvement across the site.

What we are looking for:

Sigma six qualification and experience of Lean tools and systems. Good numerical and IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office.  Ability to lead and coordinate successful cross-functional improvements as necessary. High level of written, oral and presentation skills. Demonstrable analytical skills, including the use of root cause problem-solving tools. Able to train others in lean methods.  Able to link the lean activities to the wider business performance and benefits, well versed in financial management and analysis. A sound understanding of the manufacturing process and its variables.  A sound understanding of core business processes and drivers. Proven experience in delivering OEE improvements. Ability to stratify data and complete pareto analysis to identify CI projects.
