About the Role
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Aiko Solar's growth within the Distributed Generation (DG) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar markets in the United Kingdom. This role focuses on developing strategic distribution channels, engaging EPCs and medium-sized developers, and enhancing Aiko's brand visibility across the UK region.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard distribution partners (wholesalers, EPCs, small/medium IPPs, and installers) aligned with Aiko's regional growth strategy.
- Manage and strengthen key customer relationships to ensure long-term cooperation and performance alignment.
- Track and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes across the UK, providing actionable insights to management.
- Enhance brand visibility through participation in local marketing initiatives, industry exhibitions, and joint activities with strategic partners.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (technical support, marketing, logistics, and HQ) to ensure smooth project execution and exceptional customer experience.
- Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports on a regular basis.
- Represent Aiko Solar professionally and credibly in all external engagements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Strong network and understanding of the UK solar market, particularly in distribution, EPC, and C&I segments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, independent work style.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel extensively across the United Kingdom.
