Circularity & Value Chain Transformation Junior Consultant

Description
We are open to applications from any of our UK office locations which includes London, Bristol, Manchester, Oxford or Edinburgh.
The individual will work across a variety of projects related to Circularity & Value Chain Transformation (C&VCT), supporting delivery of client projects. Tasks will include data analysis, research, stakeholder engagement, report writing and support for project and client management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery:
- Support the delivery of multiple projects across C&VCT, including circularity, waste management, Extended Producer Responsibility, Life Cycle Analysis, sustainable products and packaging.
- Assist in the preparation of client deliverables, including reports, presentations and data summaries.
- Support project coordination activities, and contribute to internal and client meetings, including preparation and note-taking.
Data Analysis:
- Support the collection, cleaning, and validation of data across different types of projects.
- Manage, maintain, update and analyse datasets and generate insightful outputs for client deliverables.
- Undertake modelling activities to help fill data gaps and generate forecasts.
- Support documentation of methodologies, assumptions and data sources.

Research & Insight:
- Conduct research on sustainability topics and regulations, particularly related to circularity and supply chains.
- Support the development of insights and content for client deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Manage communications between internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing communications, guidance materials and training content.
- Help track stakeholder engagement participation and follow up on data and engagement activities.
Team Support:
- Provide general support across project teams, including administrative and coordination tasks.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support business development activities where appropriate (e.g. desk-based research).
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Essential:
- At least 12 months demonstrable prior experience of working on environmental sustainability topics or a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g. environmental science, sustainability, agriculture, geography, economics)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, and confident in dealing with data
- Attention to detail
- Advanced in using Excel and comfortable with using other MS packages such as Word and Powerpoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks across multiple projects, and work collaboratively within a team
- Demonstrable interest in sustainability, circularity and supply chains.

Desirable:
- Understanding of waste and recycling systems, waste data and/or food waste
- Understanding of waste / product related LCA
- Understanding of EPR, ESPR and other related regulations
- Experience of working with Alteryx
- Experience of data visualization tools such as Power BI
