CIS Firestopping Supervisor – Bristol

Rate: £180–£220 per day (CIS)

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Start Date: Immediate

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Firestopping Supervisor to oversee fire protection, and passive fireworks across projects in Bristol and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operatives, ensuring works are completed to the highest quality standards, and maintaining compliance with current fire safety regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate firestopping operatives on site. Ensure all firestopping installations are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of completed works. Manage site productivity and programme deadlines. Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and quality documentation. Liaise with site managers, contractors, clients, and project stakeholders. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures. Identify and resolve site issues promptly to maintain project delivery. Support training and development of site teams where required.

Requirements

Proven experience supervising firestopping or passive fire protection works. Strong understanding of passive fire regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Valid CSCS Card (essential). SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (essential). Full UK driving licence preferred. FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent industry accreditation experience advantageous.
