Are you looking for an 18 month appointment that will propel your career to the next level:

  • Capital programmes are critical to delivering economic and housing growth, improving infrastructure, developing renewable energy, whilst regenerating and improving the city and its connections to the wider region.
  • The design of capital programmes can also enhance the wellbeing of residents and communities across the city.

You will lead delivery of capital schemes and major projects to establish the conditions that make York a healthier, fairer, more affordable, more sustainable and more accessible place and ensure:

  • capital programmes and regeneration funding is harnessed to deliver our inclusive economic, sustainability and health and wellbeing objectives.
  • all capital projects are – from inception to completion – aligned with the Council’s priorities, financially robust, compliant and delivered to the highest standards of quality, value and impact.
  • embed robust governance and assurance for all capital schemes, including financial and risk management.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
