The Opportunity

The Role
As a Civil Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the design and delivery of highways and drainage infrastructure for development schemes.
- Producing highway designs (S38/S278) at preliminary and detailed design stages.
- Supporting drainage designs (S104/S98):
- Surface water drainage
- Foul drainage
- SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) design
- Flow control and attenuation/balancing solutions
- Foul pumping stations
- Assisting with earthworks and site level design.
- Collaborating with planners, architects, external consultants, and approving authorities.
- Supporting projects from feasibility through to detailed design and approvals.
- Producing technical drawings, calculations, and design documentation.
- Working closely with senior engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- Experience in civil infrastructure design, ideally within highways and/or drainage.
- A background in UK development infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant design standards and approval processes.
- Experience using software such as:
- Civil 3D
- MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage
- Causeway Flow
- PDS
- Experience contributing to designs for residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
- A BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn, develop, and collaborate.
