APPLY Job Description

Project Civil Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

I'm working with a well-established, design-led civil and structural engineering consultancy in London, seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on structurally led civils design as well as civils-led projects across a broad range of sectors, including residential, commercial, data centres, schools, and hospitals. The consultancy is known for combining technical excellence with innovative, practical solutions on complex projects.

The Role

As a Project Civil Engineer, you'll deliver infrastructure and drainage design on a variety of projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll be involved in both civils-led schemes and projects integrated with structural design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing drainage strategies, SuDS design, and infrastructure layouts
  • Supporting Flood Risk Assessments and pre-planning reports
  • Delivering below-ground drainage and external works design
  • Coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Managing projects and client communications
  • Mentoring junior engineers where appropriate

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
