Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Design
Salary: Up to £50,000
Location: Kingston upon Thames (Onsite, 5 days per week - flexibility after probation)
I'm supporting a long-established international engineering consultancy that is looking to bring an experienced Civil Design Engineer into its growing infrastructure team based in Kingston upon Thames. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a global organisation recognised for delivering practical, efficient engineering solutions across major projects worldwide.
The company has offices across the UK, Australia, India, Argentina, Jordan, and Morocco, offering exceptional exposure to diverse project work and a strong internal culture centred on engineering excellence.
The Role
This position is ideal for a Civil Engineer with 5+ years' experience, confident working across heavy infrastructure design. You'll play an important role in producing detailed engineering designs, carrying out technical assessments, and contributing to multidisciplinary project delivery.
You'll be supported with ongoing professional development, including ICE membership progression and structured technical training.

- Produce detailed civil engineering designs, drawings and calculations
- Design drainage networks, pavements and related infrastructure elements
- Undertake engineering evaluations, feasibility studies and design analysis
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications and technical documentation
- Work closely with engineers, designers and project managers to ensure aligned project outcomes
- Support site inspections, constructability reviews and design resolution
- Assist with project planning, scheduling and estimation activities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of engineering standards, regulations and best practice
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering
- Background in infrastructure, foundations, pavements, structural or similar civil design fields
- Strong software capability across analytical and design tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Awareness of safety, quality, sustainability and compliance within engineering design
- Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, with flexibility available after probation
