Civil Enforcement Officer - (Ref: CEO)
About the Role
- Employer: Borough of Broxbourne
- Salary: Up to £31,324.80 p.a.
- Location: Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, EN8 9XQ ([Bishops’ College](https://maps.google.com milli), Churchgate)
- Contract: Permanent
- Working Pattern: Full-time
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- DBS Check: Required

We are seeking hard-working and dedicated individuals to contribute to the safety of Broxbourne’s streets by joining our Civil Enforcement Officer team.
Key responsiblities include:
- Ensuring children’s safety near schools
- Guaranteeing emergency vehicle access
- Improving disabled bays and accessibility for vulnerable residents
Valuable duties extend to:
- Enforcing compliance with traffic regulations
- Supporting good traffic flow, optimising parking availability and enhancing safety across the Borough
- Overseeing on-street and off-street parking contraventions, including pay-and-display car parks and on-street pay-and-display areas.
Responsibilities
- Providing excellent customer service and professional guidance in challenging scenarios.
- Working as part of a team in all weather conditions, including weekends and Bank Holidays on a flexible rota basis.
- Enforcing parking regulations and maintaining fair but firm interactions with the public.
- Ensuring smooth operations of residential and commercial parking facilities while addressing tooіїgra,kechnical issues when necessary.
- Acting responsibly and lawfully in line with statutory powers.

Requirements
- Essential:
- Ability to converse clearly and confidently in English.
- A valid manual driving license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Preferred:
- Tech-savviness for council programs and data management.
This role demands strong people skills, the ability to manage difficult or challenging situations, and compliance with level 2 safeguarding standards.
