About The Division

Our Water Utilities Division is the Centre of Excellence for water and wastewater challenges in the UK and Ireland, ensuring safe water supplies, combating flooding, and improving environmental health. The division provides end-to-end services—from feasibility studies, advisory services, and outline design to detailed design, construction support, and commissioning. We deliver industry-leading solutions while offering technically stimulating opportunities for professionals.


Water & Wastewater Project Focus Areas

The role involves working on diverse, high-impact projects, including:

  • Water treatment
  • Water distribution and storage
  • Wastewater drainage and recycling
  • Desalination

Our clients include:

  • UK water utility providers
  • Governmental organisations
  • Private sector companies (local and international)

Project lifecycle coverage: Feasibility → design → construction support → commissioning → handover.


Overview Of The Role

Join our growing team of experienced civil engineers specialising in water infrastructure. You’ll:

  • Engage with multiple UK/Irish water companies
  • Take part in multi-disciplinary design teams throughout project execution
  • Deliver consistent excellence in compliance, studies, and design submissions
  • Contribute to preliminary and detailed design while collaborating with clients/stakeholders

Candidate Specification

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Proven water/wastewater engineering design experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to prioritising health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
  • Proactive approach with adaptability to evolving project requirements

Desirable:

  • Pursuing or achieved Chartership
  • Strong digital capability (e.g., advanced BIM, GIS, software proficiency)
  • Experience or ambition in project management
