Civil Engineer
Poole
£35,000 - £50,000
We are working with a respected engineering consultancy looking to grow their Civils team out of their Poole office.
Their varied project portfolio includes multi-story residential developments, new housing schemes, schools, commercial developments, and infrastructure projects ranging from small-scale works to multi-million-pound schemes.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to join their team.
The Role
Working alongside Senior Engineers, Engineers, and Technicians, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of a wide range of civil engineering projects from concept through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to varied projects while developing your technical and professional skills within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and detailed design of civil engineering schemes, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and associated infrastructure.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation in accordance with current standards and best practice.
- Produce high-quality engineering drawings and models using industry-standard software.
- Support the technical delivery of projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Undertake site visits, surveys, and inspections to gather information and monitor project progress.

About You
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience working within a civil engineering consultancy or similar environment.
- Knowledge of highways, drainage, and infrastructure design.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work and excellent client service.
Software
Experience with any of the following software would be advantageous:
- AutoCAD (including Vehicle Tracking)
- Civil 3D
- MicroDrainage
- PDS (roads, drainage, traffic signs, and road markings)
