About the Division: Water Utilities

The Water Utilities Division is our UK & Ireland centre of excellence, specialising in:

  • Ensuring safe water for future generations
  • Preventing urban flooding
  • Improving the health of rivers and coastal environments

Our multi-disciplinary teams deliver end-to-end project solutions, from advisory services and feasibility studies to detailed design, all while offering technically engaging growth opportunities. Our clients include:

  • Top UK water utility companies
  • Governmental and private sector organisations at home and internationally

Digest of Scope

We build solutions for:

  • Water treatment plants
  • Distribution & storage networks
  • Wastewater drainage & recycling
  • Desalination projects

The Opportunity

We’re seeking experienced civil engineers specialising in water and wastewater to leverage their expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work across multiple UK & Irish water companies
  • Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary design teams
  • Deliver exceptional project execution from concept to handover
  • Prepare compliant design deliverables (feasibility studies, concept designs, technical specifications)
  • Undertake hydraulic and structural analysis
  • Guarantee safety, health, and environmental compliance
  • Interpret and deliver stakeholder needs for seamless client partnerships
  • Act with proactive adaptability, advocating for innovation

What You’ll Bring

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified degree in civil engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in water and/or wastewater engineering design
  • Strong verbal/written communication with clarity and precision
  • Inherent understanding of HSE (health, safety & environment) priorities
  • Agile problem-solving, resilience, and flexibility to evolving project demands

Desirable Strengths

  • Progress toward Chartership
  • Familiarity with digital tools (e.g., BIM, civil engineering acquisition technology)
  • Project management experience (formal or self-developed)
