MMB has extended its contract with Thames Water for an additional five years. As the largest water and wastewater provider in the UK, Thames Water serves 15 million customers throughout London and the Thames Valley. This extension will carry the current workload beyond the end of AMP8 in March 2030. We are delivering work in the Thames Valley region (extending from Cirencester in the west to the M25 and from Basingstoke in the South to Banbury in the North). This sees us undertake a varied programme of sizable projects in wastewater treatment, clean water production and Infrastructure (Water and Wastewater networks).
Role Overview
As a Civil Engineer, you will work within the engineering teams to deliver water, wastewater treatment and network projects, from feasibility through to detailed design stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering Civil design services on a range of projects with a focus on time, cost, quality - right first time!
- Producing engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and reports
- Engaging with the Client and collaborating with their engineering teams
- Working collaboratively across disciplines to ensure that mechanical and electrical interfaces are incorporated
- You will work closely and collaboratively with the construction team and supply chain to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout the design stages, into construction and post project review.
- Applying both innovative and standard designs to project problems.
- Identify potential challenges to client specifications to review with the wider team

Candidate Specification
- ICE-accredited Degree in Civil Engineering (or directly related subject)
- Working towards IEng / CEng with a relevant Engineering Institution
- UK water and/or wastewater treatment / non-infrastructure experience (preferable)
