Civil Engineer – Water and Wastewater Projects

MMB has extended its contract with Thames Water for an additional five years, delivering water and wastewater projects across the Thames Valley region (from Cirencester, Basingstoke, and Banbury, extending to the M25). This involves a varied programme of wastewater treatment, clean water production, and infrastructure projects spanning through 2030.
About the Role
As a Civil Engineer, you’ll work within our engineering teams to deliver water, wastewater treatment, and network projects—from feasibility to detailed design stages.

Responsibilities
- Deliver civil design services, focusing on time, cost, and quality guarantees (right-first-time delivery)
- Produce technical documents, including:
- Engineering calculations
- Specifications
- Design drawings
- Technical reports
- Collaborate closely with clients and their engineering teams
- Work across disciplines to ensure mechanical and electrical system interfaces
- Partner with construction teams and the supply chain to develop safe, efficient, and practical solutions from design through to construction and post-project reviews
- Apply both innovative and standard designs to project challenges
- Identify and address potential deviations from client specifications

Requirements
- ICE-accredited degree in Civil Engineering (or a closely related subject)
- Working towards IEng / CEng with a relevant professional engineering institution
- Preferred: UK water/wastewater treatment or related non-infrastructure experience
