Civil Infrastructure Professionals – Technician to Principal Level | Permanent & Contract Opportunities | UK International Consultancy
An internationally recognised engineering consultancy is expanding its UK Infrastructure team and is looking to bring on talented professionals across a range of levels, from Technicians through to Principal Engineers.
Known for delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality engineering solutions, this consultancy works across major construction, infrastructure, and development projects. Both permanent and contract opportunities are available, providing flexibility for individuals looking to join a leading consultancy on a long-term basis or support the delivery of key projects through contract assignments.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary Infrastructure team working across the full project lifecycle — from early-stage concept and masterplanning through to detailed design and construction support.
Opportunities are available across a variety of levels, with responsibilities tailored to your experience. Whether you are a Technician looking to develop your technical skills, an Engineer seeking greater responsibility, or a Principal-level professional looking to lead projects and provide technical direction, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution.

Depending on your level of experience, you’ll be involved in or lead elements of civil infrastructure design, including:
- Earthworks modelling and site development layouts.
- Highway, access, and general civil infrastructure design.
- Pressurised water networks and wider utility coordination.
- Delivery and management of BIM models, CAD documentation, and BIM Execution Plans.
- Preparation of technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
- Supporting project delivery, technical reviews, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
- At senior levels, leading design packages, managing project deliverables, mentoring junior team members, and supporting client relationships.
About You
We’re keen to hear from applicants across a range of experience levels who can bring the following:
- A technical background in infrastructure design, with a specialism in highways, drainage, SuDS, or wider civil engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (MicroDrainage experience is advantageous).
- A good understanding of BIM processes and standards such as PAS1192-2.
- Ability to undertake design tasks with minimal supervision and communicate effectively within a team environment.
- Strong general IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Membership of a relevant professional institution or actively working towards EngTech, IEng, or CEng status.
- Experience supporting or leading the delivery of infrastructure projects, depending on level.
- For Principal-level candidates, experience providing technical leadership, mentoring teams, and managing client relationships.
