Civil Engineer - Water and Wastewater Treatment
Doran Consulting’s Water Team are a multi-disciplinary team involved in a range of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects on a number of long term engineering frameworks with utility companies based in the UK and Ireland. We are seeking to recruit Civil Engineers to join our Water Team in Belfast. The successful candidate will be supporting the delivery of energy efficient and low whole-life-cost projects at various stages of the project lifecycle including feasibility, outline design, or detailed design.
The range of work will include, but is not limited to:
- Design of water and wastewater treatment works and pumping stations
- Design of watermains
- Design of sewerage infrastructure, pipework layouts and schedules

Responsibilities Include
- Feasibility reports, outline and detailed design
- Hydraulic analysis
- Preparation of project specifications, involving use of both standard specifications prepared by external agencies and in-house specifications
- Project management and contract administration
- CDM compliance activities, such as preparation of Design Risk Assessments, Design management Plans
Engineers at Doran Consulting will have a hands-on role from day one assisting with engineering design, client consultations, meeting attendance, site attendance, monitoring construction, and organizing site surveys and investigations.
