Civil Estimator
Civil Estimator – YTL Construction
Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, YTL Construction is seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join our dynamic Estimating team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact infrastructure projects and work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
About the Role
As a Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive civil engineering estimates across a variety of construction projects. You’ll support both in-house delivery teams and external partners, ensuring robust cost assurance and governance throughout the pre-construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing detailed civil estimates from tender documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Collaborating with designers, project managers, clients, and suppliers to gather and validate project information
- Leading negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
- Providing technical input to support efficient design and value engineering
- Assisting the Commercial team with variations, applications, and final account processes
- Maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the estimating lifecycle

Requirements
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in civil engineering and estimating. You’ll need:
✔ A civil qualification, with civil installation or project delivery experience ✔ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills ✔ Strong technical understanding of civil methodology and construction processes ✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software ✔ A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
