Civil Fraud & Asset Recovery Partner | Join a Partner-Led City Boutique | Board Position & Employee Ownership
If you're a Civil Fraud & Asset Recovery Partner looking for a platform where you can help shape the future of a practice rather than simply join one, this is an opportunity to work alongside former City partners in growing a specialist offering within a highly regarded boutique firm.
This is not a role where you'll be expected to start from scratch. There is an existing pipeline of work to tap into, sophisticated clients already requiring support, and genuine investment behind growing this area of the practice. As an employee-owned business, you'll also have a seat at the table, joining the Board and sharing in the long-term success of the firm.
The Firm
This specialist City boutique has built an impressive reputation advising growth companies, entrepreneurs, investors and funds on complex corporate, commercial and disputes matters. Combining City-level expertise with a more agile and partner-led approach, the firm has established itself as a trusted adviser to sophisticated clients across the UK and internationally.
Founded by senior lawyers from leading City firms, the business was created to offer clients the technical excellence of a large international practice with the responsiveness, accessibility and commerciality of a boutique. Today, the firm is recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers and continues to attract high-calibre lawyers looking for a more entrepreneurial environment.
The partnership is comprised of highly experienced lawyers with backgrounds from leading City and international firms, and the firm's employee ownership model reinforces its long-term approach and collaborative culture. The firm also benefits from a well-established international network, providing clients with seamless access to trusted advisers across multiple jurisdictions when matters extend beyond the UK.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role
You will join the disputes practice as a strategic lateral hire, working closely alongside the firm's founders to grow and develop its Civil Fraud & Asset Recovery offering.

You will advise on a broad range of civil fraud, asset tracing and recovery matters, often involving complex cross-border elements and commercially sensitive disputes.
This is a highly visible role within the firm. Alongside leading client matters, you will contribute to the strategic growth of the wider disputes practice, working collaboratively with colleagues across corporate, commercial and investigations to develop new opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
As an employee-owned business, this role also comes with a Board position, giving you the opportunity to influence the firm's direction while sharing directly in its long-term success.
