Civil Litigation Solicitor/Employed Barrister
Gherson Solicitors is currently seeking to recruit a Civil Litigation Solicitor or employed barrister with around 2-5 years of post-qualification experience to join our expanding Dispute Resolution Team, which focuses on complex and high-value litigation and arbitration, including cases with a sanctions-related component.
Key Requirements
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in a top-market/boutique City disputes resolution practice (or practices), focusing predominantly or solely on civil matters concerning high-value and/or complex corporate, commercial, and financial disputes
- A strong grasp of the CPR and the Commercial Court Guide, as well as the CE-File system
- A proven track record of working on complex civil litigation across their career
- Ability to handle their own caseload for less complex cases, as well as assist on larger matters
- Management of junior team members and the ability to progress cases independently
Desired Experience
The ideal candidate would also have experience in:
- Civil fraud
- Cross-border disputes and/or the conflict of laws
- Sanctions and white-collar crime/investigations matters
- Matters for high net worth and/or ultra-high net worth individuals
