Your Role
We're looking for a Civil & Structural Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across major industrial decarbonisation and infrastructure projects. You'll lead the design, integration, and assurance of civil and structural solutions, ensuring projects are safe, compliant, sustainable, and fit for purpose. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll oversee everything from foundations and structures through to drainage, utilities, and supporting infrastructure, helping to deliver complex energy and heat decarbonisation programmes.
- Lead the design and delivery of civil and structural engineering solutions for energy infrastructure and decarbonisation projects, including foundations, structural steelwork, reinforced concrete structures, drainage, and utilities.
- Oversee feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, structural assessments, and technical assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interfaces, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, engineering standards, and best practice.
- Drive constructability, cost efficiency, risk management, and whole-life performance improvements across projects.
Your Role
You'll be a degree-qualified Civil or Structural Engineer with experience delivering complex industrial, infrastructure, energy, or major capital projects. With strong technical expertise in structural design, drainage and utility infrastructure, and engineering standards, you'll be comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder relationships across challenging project environments. Chartered status is desirable but not essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
