Civil Technician – Leeds, West Yorkshire


The Role

A leading engineering consultant firm in the U.K. (with multiple regional offices) requires a Civil Technician with two+ years’ post-graduation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on industrial, retail, residential, and office building projects.
  • Work with AutoCAD and Civils 3D for design, calculations, and report preparation.
  • Contribute to technical accuracy and consistency in drawings, construction reports, and documentation.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including:
    • Statutory bodies (Water Companies, Local Authorities, Environment Agency)
    • Contractors and clients on-site.
  • Conduct calculation checks, ensure regulatory compliance for highways, drainage, and road adoption.
  • Maintain team standards and compliance for deliverables.

About the Company

The firm is a full-service consultant in:

  • Building structures (residential, retail, industrial, commercial offices)
  • Infrastructure and transportation
  • Underground drainage networks

With UK-wide offices, support for ICE Chartered Engineer progression is actively encouraged.


Requirements

Experience & Skills:

✔ 2+ years as a Civil Technician ✔ Hands-on with AutoCAD and Civils 3D ✔ Prior experience in road design (residential/commercial), drainage systems, and appliable adoption standards ✔ Capable of constructing, reviewing, and maintaining engineering calculations ✔ Worked in a UK engineering consultancy environment ✔ Ful UK Driver’s Licence (site access required)
