Civil Technician: Residential Infrastructure (On:Plot Civils)

An established engineering consultancy based in Altrincham is looking to recruit a Civil Technician to join its growing civil engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in residential development who enjoys the technical detail of on:plot civil engineering design.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering drawings and design packages for residential developments, working closely with engineers and project teams from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities Of This Civil Technician Role
- Production of on:plot civil engineering designs for residential developments.
- Earthworks and level modelling using industry-standard software.
- Surface water and foul drainage design.
- Preparation of external works layouts, setting out drawings, sections, and construction details.
- Producing accurate 2D CAD drawings and technical documentation.
- Assisting with design coordination across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ensuring work is delivered in accordance with current standards and client requirements.

About You
- Experience working as a Civil Technician within a consultancy environment.
- Knowledge of residential development and on:plot infrastructure design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, with experience of Civil 3D desirable.
- Experience in levels design, earthworks modelling, and drainage layouts.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and construction detailing.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach and keen attention to detail.
