Position Overview
This Civil Work Engineer opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with experience in oil and gas or energy projects. The Civil Work Engineer will support design, verification, and checking activities across civil works, concrete structures, and buildings, working under the guidance of the Civil and Structural Lead. Role Context
This position sits within the energy and infrastructure sector on a project at Point of Ayr (Talacre). The role supports engineering delivery for civil works and structural scope, with coordination across project specialists and designers. The working environment is focused on technical quality, project requirements, and delivery against schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical design, verification, and checking activities for civil works under the guidance of the Civil and Structural Lead.
- Prepare detailed BOQ for civil works and buildings, and MTO for steel structures using 3D model tools.
- Develop layouts for drain water systems, sewage systems, and plumbing systems inside buildings.
- Develop studies for foundations and concrete structures.
- Supervise and approve engineering design and construction drawings for foundations, concrete structures, and buildings.
- Verify the structural BIM model in line with project requirements, level of information needs, and relevant OpenBIM best practices.
- Carry out quality checks on discipline project documents, including vendor documents.
- Prepare documentation for technical annexes related to engineering subcontracting activities.
- Coordinate with project specialists and designers to support budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Provide field engineering support at site and implement discipline follow-up activities.

Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: Proven experience operating as a Civil Work Engineer in oil and gas and energy projects.
- Essential: BSc in Civil Engineering.
- Essential: BIM Coordinator certification.
- Essential: Strong knowledge of Eurocode.
- Essential: Proficiency in Excel.
- Essential: Experience with Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, SP3D, and Naviswork.
