Civil Work Engineer Location: Point of Ayr, Talacre, North Wales Rate: Competitive Day Rate - Negotiable Depending on Exp. Contract: 6 Months IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Hours: 5.5 Days Per Week
Ceto Talent is recruiting for an experienced Civil Works Engineer to join a major Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project at Point of Ayr, Talacre.
This is an opportunity to work on a nationally significant energy infrastructure project, supporting the delivery of civil and structural engineering activities from design through to construction.
The Role Working alongside the Civil & Structural Lead, you will be responsible for producing, checking and verifying civil engineering designs while supporting multidisciplinary engineering activities to ensure quality, programme and budget requirements are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for civil works and buildings.
- Produce Material Take Offs (MTO) for structural steel using 3D modelling tools.
- Prepare technical documentation for engineering subcontract packages.
- Develop foundation, reinforced concrete, drainage, sewage and building plumbing designs.
- Review and approve civil engineering and construction drawings.
- Verify structural BIM models in accordance with OpenBIM best practice.
- Carry out quality reviews of engineering and vendor documentation.
- Support construction activities through field engineering on site.
- Liaise with project specialists and designers to ensure engineering deliverables are completed safely and efficiently.

Requirements
- BSc in Civil Engineering
- Previous experience as a Civil Work Engineer within Oil & Gas, Energy or major industrial projects.
- BIM Coordinator certification.
- Strong knowledge of Eurocodes
Experience using:
- SP3D
- Navisworks
- Mat3D
- Foundation3D
- Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel
- Strong technical design, checking and coordination experience.
