About The Role

In this role, you’ll be central to the successful delivery of Power Transmission & Distribution projects across the UK, with a specific focus on civils and cabling operations. Acting as the link between operational teams, subcontractors and the central resource function, you’ll ensure the right people and skills are in place to meet both current delivery needs and future growth plans.

This is a strategic resourcing role. You’ll be shaping how civils and cabling resources are planned, deployed and grown across multiple projects, helping the business respond confidently to changing priorities, emerging demand and long-term workload.

You’ll work closely with project teams, operational leaders and supply chain partners, building strong relationships and providing clear insight on capacity, demand and deployment. If you enjoy operating at pace, influencing decisions, and making a tangible impact on project delivery, this role offers real visibility and ownership.

This is a hybrid role, that can be based out of our Scotland hubs - Maxim office in Motherwell or in our Westhill Office near Aberdeen. There is also with expectations of getting out onto our sites for site visits and collaboration with teams across the UK.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the strategic planning, allocation and deployment of civils and cabling resources across UK Power T&D projects.
  • Owning and maintaining accurate resource demand forecasts, supporting both current operations and future work.
  • Working as part of the central resource function, using established systems and processes to capture demand and coordinate deployment.
  • Planning and coordinating the movement of staff and operatives between projects, ensuring continuity of delivery and efficient utilisation.
  • Developing resourcing and growth strategies where demand exceeds available capacity.
  • Working closely with project and operational teams to understand requirements and resolve resourcing challenges.
  • Engaging directly with subcontract labour suppliers and partners to meet civils and cabling demand.
  • Collaborating with recruitment teams to support hiring activity where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for civils and cabling resourcing matters across the business.
  • Producing clear and accurate management information and reporting on demand, capacity and deployment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
