Location: EcoPark, Edmonton North London
About LondonEnergy
At LondonEnergy, we're proud of our vital role in managing North London's waste and protecting the environment. As part of the team, you'll already know that we handle and process 750,000 tonnes of waste each year, making us the second largest waste contract in the UK.
By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.
About The Role
We are seeking a Civils and Facilities Project Lead to join our Transition Department at LondonEnergy. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of civil engineering and building services projects across our waste management facilities, working closely with a range of trusted third-party partners.
You will play a key role in providing technical assurance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all solutions are safe, compliant, and ready for operational use. This includes reviewing and challenging designs, supporting commissioning and handover activities, and collaborating closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure facilities are practical and fit for purpose.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
