About The Role

At Balfour Beatty, we're shaping the future of infrastructure by delivering some of the UK's most ambitious and technically challenging projects. We're looking for an experienced Site Foreman to join our Regional Civils team on the Apollo Project Bridgwater.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-profile civil engineering project, leading site operations, driving performance, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. If you're passionate about leading teams, delivering quality, and making a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As a Site Foreman You Will

  • Supervising and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and plant resources.
  • Leading daily briefings and ensuring all works are carried out in line with Balfour Beatty's health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Monitoring progress against programme and working closely with the Site Manager to achieve project milestones.
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings and quality requirements.
  • Coordinating labour, materials and plant to maximise productivity.
  • Identifying and resolving site issues quickly to minimise delays.
  • Maintaining accurate site records, including diaries, inspections and permits.
  • Supporting the development of apprentices and junior members of the team.

Who we're looking for

You Will Have The Following

  • Experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS card (appropriate level).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
