About The Role
At Balfour Beatty, we're shaping the future of infrastructure by delivering some of the UK's most ambitious and technically challenging projects. We're looking for an experienced Site Foreman to join our Regional Civils team on the Apollo Project Bridgwater.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-profile civil engineering project, leading site operations, driving performance, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. What you'll be doing
As a Site Foreman You Will
- Supervising and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and plant resources.
- Leading daily briefings and ensuring all works are carried out in line with Balfour Beatty's health, safety and environmental standards.
- Monitoring progress against programme and working closely with the Site Manager to achieve project milestones.
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings and quality requirements.
- Coordinating labour, materials and plant to maximise productivity.
- Identifying and resolving site issues quickly to minimise delays.
- Maintaining accurate site records, including diaries, inspections and permits.
- Supporting the development of apprentices and junior members of the team.
Who we're looking for
You Will Have The Following
- Experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work activities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
- CSCS card (appropriate level).
