We are hiring a Civils Site Supervisor to work on clean water projects.
£22 per hour Travel and overnight stays will be part of the role
We specialise in sustainable water asset management solutions, delivering exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater and the environment.
You will be responsible, in a working supervisory capacity, for overseeing day-to-day site operations. You will ensure civil engineering projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Utilise specialist civils experience and capability to assist with and supervise the delivery of complex civils schemes between the value of £100k-£5m.
- Ensure the site team adheres to the company’s working procedures through all stages of the project lifecycle including all health and safety, quality, environmental, and conduct requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Report all Health, Safety, and Environmental accidents and issues to the relevant management personnel immediately.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment including the team wears full PPE, at all times.
- Report any changes on site to management in a timely manner. This includes client instruction, changes to the working environment, changes to health and so on.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, safety bulletins, etc, ensuring all personnel receive necessary and relevant information consistently throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead on all aspects of health, safety and welfare on site. This includes, but is not limited to risk assessments, method statements, construction phase plans etc.
- Take responsibility for the safe keeping of machinery and materials on given projects including ensuring equipment is off hired in a timely fashion.

Requirements
- Demonstratable experience in small to medium size civil projects, inclusive of groundworks, formwork, concrete works, footpaths, structures, excavations inclusive of shoring.
- Hold a valid CSCS card
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- Plant operator for excavator, 10 ton and above would be preferable, dumper.
- Experienced in the installation and management of temporary works and hold a temporary works supervisor qualification.
- Experience in operating plant and managing plant operators.
- Experience of issuing site-based permits (e.g. to dig etc…)
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely, following relevant training.
- Skilled in operating safely in high-risk environment
- Possess a full driving licence
