Job Description UIG Power T&D are currently recruiting for Civils Works Supervisors for the ASTI SSSE OHL Project in Alness, Scotland. Responsibilities: A civils qualified person that can supervise teams of direct labour and or sub-contractors working in a safe, efficient, competent manner and to a high quality Site supervision of field operatives (direct labour and sub contract) to ensure that all Client orders are delivered to time, in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring all contractual processes, procedures and quality standards are met The main roles are to ensure that the works are constructed to the relevant standards, technical specifications, on time, to the customer’s satisfaction, in a cost efficient manner, taking into account the relevant health and safety standards that must be followed to complete the works safely Managing QA onsite and ensuring that QA records are produced by working teams, including undertaking focused QA inspections and ensuring rectification of defect's and sharing of best QA practice across allocated resources. Liaise with all teams to co-ordinate works alignment with the programme requirements. Able to collect, collate and distribute information to teams and contractors, then supervise both to ensure work is completed to time, budget and to specification First line interface between the operatives on the ground, sub-contractor field management (where relevant), customer planners/schedulers, and Clients Operations team and local authorities Reporting and managing of all incidents to the relevant internal and client resources Validation of job packs to ensure fluidity of works for resources Management of stock to ensure resources have appropriate materials to complete works Identification of Special Engineering Difficulties and Traffic Mgmt with operational solutions Responsible for the effective planning and prioritisation of daily activities associated with operational delivery by direct teams and sub-contractors Provide feedback to management on issues and any observed behaviours detrimental to the business that needs raised Ensure works are complete and meets the required quality standards including Client Specification Complete work to agreed time scales and identify any deviations from estimate so approvals can be granted. Make sure all staff and contractors comply with UIG T&D Health & Safety standards including site risk assessments and use all appropriate PPE and control risk with compliance with all induction and site safety rules including HSG47 Conduct weekly checks of plant and tools, ensure they are safe to use and where applicable carry valid calibration certificates and submit to office Capturing of all GRN`s from field and submission to office for processing Responsible for giving updates as required to the back office to allow client to be updated and have system updated Make arrangements for all As Built Drawings and records to be completed to allow for works to be invoiced inclusive of all contemporary records such as closing dims , updates , records Liaison with all third parties, like Local Authorities, Client, public bodies to ensure execution of works is seamless. Capture all track sheet weekly and submit with all variations agree Qualifications Essential: HSG47 Driving Licence (ability to tow - C1E) Setting to work experience Basic Electrical Safety Competency (BESC) First Aider Banksman Slinger / Signaller Experienced plant operator e.g. tractor & trailer, excavator (360 & 180), front loaders, roller, bulldozer, wheeled dumper forward tipping, tracked dumper. Operation of hand held power / mechanical tools Strimmer (petrol) Environmental Awareness SSSTS/SMSTS or NRSWA (Supervisor) Digital Literacy
