About the Company & Opportunity
A dynamic and creative design consultancy based in Surbiton, KT5, is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join their 40-strong, financially robust practice.
The firm works across a range of civil/structural infrastructure projects, including:
- Substation design for power networks
- Rail sector projects
- Other structures (e.g. buildings, bridges)
The firm enjoys major client engagements and offers exciting growth opportunities. A friendly, social team environment is emphasised.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of:
- Substations and associated buildings/structures
- High-voltage (HV) cable routes
- Renewables schemes
- Large new footbridges over railways
- Rail bridges and station infrastructure (including platform extensions and station refurbishments)
- Embankment and cutting works
- Lineside services and structures
- Depot buildings and structures

Essential Requirements
- Degreed Civil/Structural Engineer with relevant design experience
- Competence in both steel and concrete design
- Strong communication skills for meetings, client relations, and contractual commitments
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
