Claims Adjuster, Energy & Complex Risk Claims 1
Project Manager (£1m–£3m Budget)
Responsibilities
- Run and manage complex projects with a budget of £1m–£3m, ensuring delivery using formal project management techniques
- Ensure projects are on time, meet business & technical requirements and stay within budget
- Internally resource projects but manage third-party vendors as part of delivery
- Create a Charter for each project, covering:
- Scope & budget definition
- Resource allocation
- Schedule creation
- Work sequencing & execution approach
- Drive consistent, efficient project delivery while ensuring:
- Compliance with IT-internal requirements
- Smooth transition of solutions into production
- Manage vendor relationships & resource utilisation, minimising external (onshore/offshore) spend and ensuring smooth onboarding/offboarding
- Establish stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for each project
- Identify & mitigate risks/issues, taking decisive action to:
- Analyse impact
- Leverage stakeholder support
- Prevent delays
- Monitor, track & report progress against:
- Milestones
- Budgets
- SAP & Clarity accruals (cost tracking, forecasting)
- Coordinate documentation & processes to ensure:
- Compliance requirements are met
- Project alignment with schedules

Knowledge & Skills
Experience
- 5–7+ years managing IT, infrastructure, workplace or application projects in:
- Technically complex & fast-paced industries
- Global Finance/Insurance or regulated sectors preferred
- Proven ability to:
- Successfully deliver against budgets & deadlines
- Balance business outcomes with priority constraints
Critical Skills
- Project Management, Financial Management & Change Management expertise
- Ability to lead cross-functional, geographic workstreams for step-change delivery
- Strong stakeholder management (handling conflicting interests)
- Budget & cost control (accurate tracking in SAP/Clarity)
- Transparency & reporting (clear progress summaries for stakeholders)
- Collaborative consulting style, fostering accountability & shared ownership
- Experience developing junior PMs, setting high standards and building high-performing teams
