Job Description

Job Title: Claims Adjuster

Location: Remote

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About Us

Velonetic represents the joint ventures between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London. Previously referred to as the London Market Joint Ventures, we have been operating for over 20 years in the London market (Lloyd's and Company), in both insurance and reinsurance business. Processing over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions today, we are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed, releasing time to drive innovation and focus on higher value activities.

Job Overview

We're growing our Claims team and are looking for experienced Claims Adjusters with strong technical claims knowledge and, ideally, proven London Market insurance or reinsurance experience.

This role is primarily aimed at candidates who are already operating as Claims Adjusters, Senior Claims Handlers, Claims Examiners or equivalent technical claims professionals and who are confident managing claims activity beyond entry-level handling. We are particularly interested in candidates who can bring practical experience of London Market processes, customer expectations and claims lifecycle management.

The successful candidate will be expected to apply existing claims expertise from the outset, with support available to build deeper market, system and process knowledge where required. The level of appointment will reflect the candidate’s skills, experience and technical capability.

Working under the direction of a Team Manager, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality claims services while ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed service levels. You will also be expected to exercise sound judgement, identify claim issues, manage priorities and support the resolution of more complex matters where appropriate.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Reviewing, validating and processing insurance claims documentation across a variety of classes of business, applying technical claims judgement and market knowledge to ensure appropriate outcomes.
  • Managing and adjusting claims in line with delegated authority, market requirements and agreed claims procedures, including identifying coverage, quantum, liability and settlement considerations where relevant.
  • Maintaining accurate claims records and documentation.
  • Liaising with customers, brokers, underwriters and other market participants to resolve queries, progress claims and support effective claims outcomes.
  • Investigating and analysing claims issues, identifying trends or technical concerns and escalating complex or sensitive cases where appropriate.
  • Preparing reports, updates and recommendations, ensuring agreed service levels, quality standards and regulatory or market expectations are met.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering excellent customer service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
