Claims Adjuster

London Market Claims Adjuster (Permanent Full-Time) – QBE Insurance

Location: Chelmsford Work Type: Employee (Permanent Full-Time)

Hackajob is collaborating with QBE Insurance to connect them with an exceptional professional for this exciting opportunity within our Portfolio Solutions claims team.

The Opportunity

A new role has arisen handling claims across multiple insurance classes, including:

  • Professional Indemnity
  • Construction
  • International Property
  • Casualty
  • Marine & Energy

As a London Market Claims Adjuster, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional claims service by determining policy coverage, investigating, evaluating, and negotiating assigned cases.
  • Provide timely, accurate support for high-complexity claims management.
  • Operate in a Full Follow role, ensuring efficient claims handling for global trading partners.

The Role in Depth

Core Responsibilities

  • Leverage automation tools to efficiently manage high-volume cross-class claims while ensuring accuracy and speed.
  • Support non-automated claims by applying sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Triage and manage claim files effectively from intake to settlement, prioritising work to ensure adequate reserves.
  • Collaborate with brokers and suppliers to achieve positive, fair outcomes.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives in Operational Excellence, Analytics, and Automation.
