Hybrid Role Locations: Leeds, London, or Manchester
Aon Risk Solutions is currently seeking a Claims Advocate – Speciality Lines to join our UK Claims Team, focusing on a diverse portfolio of multinational and large corporate clients.
About the Role
You will manage a dedicated portfolio of Professional Indemnity (PI), Directors & Officers (D&O), Crime, and Cyber claims for UK and international clients. Support will also be provided to the wider team on complex and strategic matters placed through the London Market Bureau.
This hybrid role allows flexibility in being based in Leeds, London, or Manchester.
Responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Client Engagement
- Lead a portfolio of speciality claims, including proactive resolution of PI, D&O, Crime, and Cyber claims, while adhering to London Market Bureau frameworks.
- Deliver a high-quality claims service through day-to-day handling, strategic guidance, and cross-product coordination.
- Act as the primary claims contact for clients, fostering trust and clarity to meet expectations.

Compliance & Risk Oversight
- Ensure alignment with FCA guidelines, pre-action protocols, and internal procedures, especially within Bureau claims environments.
- Set, maintain, and review appropriate claims reserves in line with internal and client requirements.

Technical & Strategic Support
- Analyse policy wordings to establish coverage positions and advise clients on strategic claim resolution.
- Present claims effectively to insurers and negotiate commercially favourable settlements.
- Provide clear, timely, and solutions-focused claims advice.

Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with clients, insurers, brokers, legal teams, and internal colleagues to streamline claims progress.
- Maintain acurate electronic claim files while ensuring data quality and audit readiness.

Escalation & Knowledge Sharing
- Escalate complex, high-value, or contentious matters for resolution.
- Contribute to claims strategies, best practices, and market advancements.

Relationship & Market Growth
- Support client and market engagement, including meetings, presentations, and networking.

Compliance & Professional Development
- Adhere to Aon UK Limited guidelines, including completing mandatory training.
- Pursue or seek professional qualifications (ACII/CILA).

Essential Skills & Experience

Client-Facing Management
- Proven ability to build rapport, manage expectations, and maintain long-term client relationships.

Speciality Claims Knowledge
- 2–5 years of claims experience within PI, D&O, Crime, and/or Cyber portfolios.
- Strong understanding of London Market and Bureau claims processes and negotiation strategies.

Communication & Negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written skills, capable of explaining complex specialty issues to stakeholders.
- Confident negotiator with a track record of achieving commercially favourable outcomes.

Analytical & Technical Ability
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Stakeholder & Systems Management
- Ability to effectively engage with multiple teams, including legal, forensic, and internal colleagues.
- Organisation skills with attention to detail for high-quality service delivery.
