Location: Hybrid (Leeds, London, or Manchester) Employer: Aon Risk Solutions
Aon Risk Solutions is seeking a Claims Advocate – Speciality Lines to join their UK Claims Team, working with multinational and large corporate clients in the management of Professional Indemnity (PI), Directors & Officers (D&O), Crime and Cyber claims, and supporting complex claims placed through the London Market Bureau.
About the Role
This is a hybrid role focusing on delivering proactive, efficient, and commercially driven resolution of claims across a dedicated portfolio for UK and multinational clients.
Key Responsibilities

Claims Management & Strategy
- Lead a portfolio of PI, D&O, Crime, and Cyber claims, including those under the London Market Bureau, ensuring efficient and strategic resolution.
- Deliver a high-quality claims service, handling day-to-day management, strategic guidance, and cross-product coordination.

Compliance & Policy Adherence
- Work within FCA guidelines, pre-action protocols, and internal procedures, particularly for claims under the Bureau environment.
- Maintain and review claims reserves in line with internal and client requirements.

Coverage Analysis & Strategic Advising
- Analyse policy wording for PI, D&O, Crime, and Cyber, establishing coverage positions and advising clients on strategy.
- Support clients in presenting claims to insurers and facilitate effective negotiations and settlements.

Client Relations & Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as a key contact for allocated clients, building and maintaining strong relationships while managing expectations.
- Collaborate with clients, insurers, brokers, legal representatives, and internal teams to progress claims and resolve issues.

Documentation & Data Management
- Maintain accurate electronic claim files and process claims information, ensuring data quality and audit readiness.
- Organise internal activities related to claims management.

Complex Matters & Strategic Development
- Identify, escalate, and contribute to strategies for high-value or contentious claims.
- Support relationship development with key clients and markets, including attending meetings and presentations as required.

Risk Compliance & Continuous Development
- Operate in compliance with Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in risk management activities (such as training).
- Support the firm’s reputation and business interests through adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience
- Client Experience: Strong client-facing ability to build relationships, manage expectations, and retain long-term clients.
- Claims Background: 2–5 years’ experience in specialty lines claims (preferably with PI, D&O, Crime, or Cyber).
- London Market/Bureau Expertise: Familiarity with Bureau claims processes and systems alongside negotiation skills.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills to present complex claims clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining structure and organisation.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience managing internal/external stakeholders at multiple levels with tact and diplomacy.
- Analytical & Negotiation Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, with proven success in achieving results for clients.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with attention to detail.
- Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of FCA compliance, business procedures, and safeguard adherence.
- Qualifications Edge: Eager to obtain or already working toward professional qualifications (ACII/CILA).
