We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Claims Assistant to support our Professional Lines Claims team in London. The team is responsible for handling open market claims from policies written via our Syndicate and Company market platforms and includes the following lines: Directors & Officers; Professional Indemnity and Financial Institutions. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to assist our London Professional Lines team in handling these claims. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1 to 2 years of experience in the Insurance market to build on knowledge and experience already gained. Main Duties and Responsibilities: · Claim set-up and data entry in several claim systems, Genius/CUI, TRAX, and allocate new claims to analysts. · Draft claims notes, prepare and issue standard claim acknowledgement letters and other claims documents. · Process claim payments. · Carry out work on aged file/static claims reviews as required. · Carry out work on claims bordereau where required. · Manage and maintain monthly bordereau and Escrow accounts for claims that fall within the TPA delegated authority. · Assist with preparation of materials for policy renewals where required. · Assist with preparation of materials for line of business meetings. · Build and circulate regular claims MI reports from internal data warehouse and external apps such as Lloyd’s CRS. · Assist claim analysts/managers as needed with copying, filing scanning, and related file maintenance. · Assist with coordination of internal and external audits. · Other administrative tasks and special projects as warranted.
Person Specification: · Insurance related courses/experience in Professional Lines are an advantage. · 1-2 years of experience in the insurance market · Good general PC skills. · Good knowledge of 2000 Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook. · Knowledge of Genius, ECF2, Lloyd’s CRS would be useful. · Strong communication skills. · The ability to work well in a team environment. · Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently. · Self-starter and proactive approach to learning
