Claims Fraud Investigator – Credit Hire
Location: Leicester or Bexhill

Role Overview
As part of our dedicated Fraud Investigation Team, your core responsibility is to investigate suspected fraudulent third-party claims, with a majority caseload focused on credit hire fraud. Your work will involve:
- Gathering evidence of fraudulent activity across multiple claim types
- Conducting interviews and liaising with panel solicitors to strengthen case decisions
- Managing a live caseloud from intake to resolution while ensuring fair and DATA ACT-compliant outcomes for customers and the company.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll need to:
- Promptly and accurately gather all relevant evidence—whether by contacting parties, conducting interviews, or analysing reports (e.g. engineers’, vehicle assessments).
- Investigate diverse fraud types alongside credit hire claims.
- Coordinate with our legal supplier panel to secure commercially optimal outcomes for Hastings Direct and our customers.
- Maintain proactive caseload management, applying ** detalle- sharpness** and clear stakeholder communication.
- Ensure all decisions align with customer expectations while mitigating risk.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Motor fraud experience with third-party claims (preferably high-value cases).
- Hands-on experience with non-delegated litigation.
- Proficient in verbal interview techniques and accurate notation.
- Passion for specialist fraud detection, particularly credit hire fraud.
