The opportunity

Are you customer obsessed and looking for your next move? We’re looking for talented, driven people like you to join our Claims Team. You don’t need to have worked as a Claims Handler before, what you do need is the ability to deliver exceptional customer service through strong communication, relationship management and effective negotiation skills.

We currently have opportunities across both Motor and Casualty claims, offering a varied and engaging environment where no two days are the same.

Our Claims function is the largest department in our UK General Insurance business, and it plays a critical role in ensuring customers receive an efficient, professional, and empathetic service. Joining such a big team means there is always opportunities to learn, grow and develop your career, such as fully funded insurance qualification programmes and allotted development days each month.

To help you become the best you can be, we provide comprehensive training that includes 5 weeks in a classroom environment and 4 weeks buddy support. Once our formal training is complete, we’ll provide a supportive learning environment so you can confidently continue with your career as a Claims Handler.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?

Working as a Claims Handler, you will be an integral part of our business, supporting brokers, solicitors and suppliers. This role is not about getting through calls quickly – it is about understanding the caller’s needs and delivering a great outcome. We also want you to have the ability to play an active role in shaping our business, suggesting, and getting involved in how we can improve!

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for handling and negotiating claims
  • Compliance to statutory regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • To proactively handle third party claims aiming to settle cases within optimum time scales
  • Investigation and evaluation of liability and quantum to achieve the desired resolution for all claims handled

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
