Role Description
The Claims Handler is a full-time, on-site role based in Belfast, responsible for managing accident-related insurance claims from initial notification through to resolution. Day-to-day tasks include:

The role involves regular communication with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to provide updates, clarify information, and address queries in a clear and professional manner. The Claims Handler will also:
- Negotiate settlements within agreed authority levels
- Escalate complex cases when required
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, regulatory standards, and service-level expectations
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and support continuous service improvement
Qualifications
- Strong claims handling and claims management skills, with experience managing cases from intake to settlement.
- Knowledge of insurance claims processes and general insurance principles, ideally within accident or personal injury claims.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in using office and case-management software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in a team-based environment, using sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in an insurance, legal, or claims environment is required.
- Relevant education or training in insurance, law, business, or a related field is an advantage.
