Experienced Motor Claims Handler Wanted
We’re seeking a skilled Motor Claims Handler to join a respected brokerage’s team in Leeds, engaging in end-to-end claims management for motor and transit claims.
About the Role
A full-time, on-site position offering hands-on experience in:
- Managing a varied portfolio of claims
- Collaborating within a team known for exceptional client and insurer service
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee motor and transit claims from initiation to resolution, upholding high service standards.
- Conduct desktop investigations into policy and legal liability to determine appropriate outcomes.
- Perform onsite visits as required for investigations and insurer presentations.
- Maintain an efficient claims diary, ensuring timely chasing and progression of all claims.
- Develop full proficiency in Acturis for claims processing and reporting.
- Provide broking teams and clients with claims data, MI reports, and updates.
- Adhere to SLAs, KPIs, and internal procedures for all claims.
- Promptly acknowledge new claims and keep stakeholders informed transparently.
- Present claims information to clients as needed.
- Support continuous professional development (CPD) to maintain expertise.
- Perform ad hoc duties as directed by management.

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in motor claims handling with deep knowledge of procedures.
- Strong grasp of current case law, common law, statutes, and regulations.
- Sharp investigative skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of insurance law and policy wording.
- Working on or holding Cert CII, Cert CILA, or equivalent qualification.
- High-level organisation and excellent time management.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication to engage with clients.

- Familiarity with Acturis (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
